Organic Green Tea from Makaibari Tea Estate is an ideal refreshment for the afternoon. Rich in anti-oxidants, the tea is admired for its golden to amber colour and muscatel flavor in cups. The tea is harvested at select locations, plucked with care during June through November.
Darjeeling, the undisputed queen od the hills at the foothills of the Himalayas, is home to the legendary Darjeeling Tea that is desired by connoisseurs around the world. Makaibari Tea Estate which started operations in 1859, is one of the world’s first tea factories. Situated along steep slopes of the Himalayas at kurseong in Darjeeling district, the plantation’s altitude ranges from about 2,500 feet ro 4,500 feet above the sea level. This prized vintage is an organic food produce from the estate’s biodynamic permaculture practice.
