Copper Cloisonné Flower Vase
Cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects. Cloisonne is usually done with copper, forming cells or cloisons, which are then fired, and ground and polished. The Cloisonne technique has been in use since the 12th century BC in the West. Initially, bronze or brass bodies were used, and in the mid of 19th century, copper bodies of very high technical quality were made.
