About Kansha

Handed down by artisans through generations, various forms of Kansha or bell metal-ware have been used for special domestic and religious occasions in Bengal. This traditional craft activity had a setback due to the arrival of stainless steel and other alternative products. Biswa Bangla has recreated this traditional charm of Kansha-ware with contemporary designs hand beaten to perfection, making it lightweight and easy to use, handcrafted in the districts of Bardhaman and Murshidabad.

This spoon is specially used as a strainer to sieve food out of oil while frying in a pan.
