Description of product

  • Madur weaving is an age old cottage industry of Medinipur. About 4000 Madur artisans earn their livelihoods by weaving these mats on simple bamboo frames. Products in this craft form range from regular floor mats to wall hangings to table mats etc.
  • This product is hand crafted and may have slight irregularities that are a natural outcome of the human involvement in the process.
